Guide for Long Beach and the surrounding area. Due to our plans

for explosive growth, we are seeking a heavy-hitting EXPERIENCED sales

professional for an outside sales opportunity.We are looking for

positive, enthusiastic, highly motivated, well-organized, confident

Account Executives with the sales know-how and follow-up skills needed

to succeed in a fast-paced, deadline-driven sales atmosphere. We have opportunities in the following key categories: Local Retail Sales: Including shops, stores, services, restaurants, automotive etc. Regional Accounts: Including auto dealers, chain stores, transit, events National Accounts: Including chains, national brands, tobacco, alcohol brands Entertainment: Including movies, events, venues, clubs, concerts, promoters You MUST have leads or contacts in any of the above industries to be considered. This is a very challenging but rewarding position, using your leads,

clients, contacts, prospecting, negotiating and closing skills, you can

earn a lot of money. This Position offers base salary plus commission and bonuses. Please

sales experience OR three or more years of general sales

Student Intern Wanted / Learn the entire business! The District Weekly is looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic

student who wants to become familiar with the entire business of

producing an alternative weekly publication. This exciting position

includes responsibilities that span the departments of Marketing,

Administration, Advertising, Design, Editorial and Distribution. This part-time, unpaid internship can be exchanged for school credit

through your university (pending necessary paperwork) and will be

structured around your school schedule. The duration of the internship

is negotiable. Because this is a small press, the student will be able to develop

one-on-one working relationships with current professionals, build

industry-specific skills and learn—inside and out—the entire business of

publishing a weekly magazine. Needless to say, it's an exciting

networking opportunity for students in the greater Long Beach area. Journalism, Communication and Business majors in their junior or senior years are preferred.
